High Performance Acrylic Sealer

Product Description

SEALER CT is a 100% solid, fast curing, high strength methyl methacrylate reactive UV-resistant sealer, that provides a monolithic bond with other GCP products.

Uses

SEALER CT is used to topcoat and seal BRIDGEMASTER® and SAFETRACK overlays. This system cannot be thinned with the additions of any solvents.

Surface Preparation

The substrate must be dry and free from oil, grease, dirt, bituminous and other contaminants.

Application

SEALER CT can be brush, roller or airless spray applied. The appropriate amount of Hardener Powder is determined by the use of the GCP Mixing Guide and is dependent upon the temperature of the material, air and substrate. The material may be either used clear or pigmented with GCP pigment.

Cure

SEALER CT will dry to the touch, typically in 45-60 minutes. At this time it is ready for subsequent applications or for use.

Packaging and Storage Conditions

SEALER CT is supplied in 4.8 gal pails and 48 gal drums. All material must be premixed prior to use.

Store in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight. Temperature should not exceed 90°F. Do not store near open flame or food. The shelf life is six months from the ship date in the unopened container.

Coverage

For BRIDGEMASTER® overlays SEALER CT is applied in one coat at an approximate coverage rate of 65-100 ft2/gal, actual consumption depending on the surface texture of the broadcast Aggregate that is selected.

Precautions

SEALER CT resin is a flammable liquid in its uncured state. No smoking, open flames or sparks should be permitted during the handling of the product. Workers should wear protective clothing consisting of splash-proof goggles, impermeable gloves and, where exposure limits are exceeded, an organic vapor respirator should be used.
