System Information

CS100 

  • Dual layer, wet-on-wet system
  • Topping slab must be a minimum 3”, although there are tolerances for overall slab thickness
  • Separate specification for CS100
  • Saw cuts at column lines only

HB100 

  • Minimum 3” topping slab over pre-poured working slab of no less than 3”
  • Separate specification for HB100
  • Saw cuts at column lines only

CP100 

  • Paving system
  • Saw cuts range from 10’ to 18’, maximum spacing depending on project location
  • Separate specification for CP100

 

Temperature Requirements

Air Temperature Minimum concrete temperature as placed and maintained

Minimum concrete temperature as mixed for indicated air temperature

Saw Cuts

  • Should be a minimum of T / 3 minus ¼” deep, maximum of 3” deep
    • T is the nominal slab thickness in inches
  • Plunge cuts should be made in the last 18” at both ends of each saw cut
    • Immediately after initial sawing
    • Minimum depth of 5”

Joint Maintenance

  • Essential to maintain Ductilcrete five year warranty for joint spalling
    • Refer to product specs
    • Must be maintained in accordance with joint filler manufacturer’s instructions 
    • Typically not the responsibility of Ductilcrete or the Licensee 

Pour Strip Information

  • Typically poured full depth with fibers and RSC admixture 
    • Project costing is always done with full depth as assumption
    • This choice is at Licensee discretion
  • May be poured as dual coarse with fibers in top pour

Plumbing Trenches / Other Infills

  • Do not have to re-poured with Ductilcrete
    • Does not have to be placed by Ductilcrete Licensee if Ductilcrete isn’t used

Warranty Information

  • Properly installed Ductilcrete offers a five year warranty
    • Includes spalling at properly filled and maintained joints
    • Spalling is not warranted on improperly maintained or improperly filled joints
    • Cracking
    • Curling
    • Ff/Fl
    • 90% of overall specified values

Heidebed (HB 100)

Anchor Bolt Installation

  • Rack leg anchor bolts should not be installed on any Heidebed® (HB100) slab system that is less than seven (7) days old
  • For slabs placed between seven (7) and sixty (60) days, rack leg anchors and bolts should not exceed 2.5” in length
  • After sixty (60) days, the rack leg anchors and bolts can be those normally employed by the rack supplier  
  • Please reference Technical Letter TL-1001 regarding anchor bolt installation in slabs with Heidebed® Technology for further details
