PIERI® EURO-TARD™ is a one-step, general-purpose in-form retarder with excellent heat resistance. Available in 11 depths of etch, color and number coded. A test panel simulating job conditions should be poured for proper grade selection. Coverage: approximately 350 ft2/gal.
Thoroughly mix before application. Uniformly coat form with a single coat of PIERI® EURO-TARD™ (or two light coats) using brush, roller, or airless sprayer at a rate of 350 ft2/gal (4 mils). Clean up with Arca Solv or Xylene. Allow retarder to dry thoroughly (approximately 20 minutes depending on temperature and humidity) before pouring concrete.
Caution: When steam curing, bring the temperature up gradually to allow the surface retarder to react properly with the concrete.
Note: If steam is to be used, it should also be used with the test panel poured for the proper grade selection. Wash off at the end of the curing cycle with high pressure water. Mold can be cleaned with a scraper of stiff broom or Euro-Clean (a solvent based neutralizer/ retarder remover).
