Specialized cleaning products can help restore concrete paving stones to their original appearances. Use the right cleaners to prepare the pavers prior to application of a stain resistant sealant for lasting beauty.
Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover
Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover removes deeply embedded oil and grease stains found on concrete and paving stone parking areas. Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover lifts and disperses petroleum-based stains, acrylic sealers and paints, as well as tire marks.
Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover combines specialized solvents and degreasers which separate petroleum-based stains from the concrete, and prepares the stains for easy removal with water. Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover can be used on concrete without causing detrimental effects to the surface texture or integral coloring.
Pour Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover onto the stain and distribute evenly with a chemical resistant brush. Allow the product to remain on the stains for twenty (20) minutes, then lightly spray with water. Use a stiff brush to help Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover loosen the stains from the concrete surface. Leave Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover on the stained area for an additional minute before rinsing thoroughly with water. If Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover dries on the treated surface, re-wet the stained area with more Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover prior to rinsing with water.
One gallon of Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover treats approximately a 1.2 m (4 ft) diameter circular area of stains or approximately 1 m2 (12 ft2) when applied at 3.2 mm (.125 in.) thickness. The actual coverage rate will depend on the porosity of the surface and depth and age of the stain. Successive applications can be performed if the first treatment does not completely remove the stain.
Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover is available in metal containers.
Health & Safety
Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover contents are combustible and should only be used in well ventilated areas away from fire and spark sources.
All precautions defined on the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) for Oil, Paint & Sealer Remover must be followed.
Dirt and Grime Remover
Dirt & Grime Remover is designed to remove dirt, grime and fresh oil and grease stains from concrete. Dirt & Grime Remover helps rejuvenate the original surface color intensity and prepares the surface for sealing.
Since Dirt & Grime Remover contains no solvents or harsh cleansers, it can be used indoors. It is an excellent product for cleaning and maintaining sealed pavers.
Dirt & Grime Remover contains high performance surfactants and dispersants that dissolve and lift dirt and grease from the surface of concrete paving stones.
Dirt & Grime Remover can be applied to either damp or dry concrete, using a stiff brush to work the product into the stain. After allowing the product to remain on the stained area for several minutes, rinse thoroughly with clean water. For general cleaning and maintenance, Dirt & Grime Remover may be diluted by adding four (4) parts water to one (1) part cleaner.
One gallon container of Dirt & Grime Remover should successfully clean 10-20 m2 (125-225 ft2).
The actual coverage rate will depend on the porosity of the surface and age of the stains. Successive applications can be performed if the first treatment does not completely remove the stain.
For general maintenance cleaning of sealed pavers, diluted Dirt & Grime Remover will cover approximately 45-85 m2 (500-900 ft2).
Dirt & Grime Remover is available in plastic containers.
Health & Safety
All precautions defined on the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) for Dirt & Grime Remover must be followed.
Rust Stain Remover
Rust Stain Remover is specially formulated to remove rust embedded in concrete due to the oxidation of iron and other metals. Rust Stain Remover can be used to clean horizontal and vertical surfaces where rust has accumulated due to roof run off, rusty rimmed drums and other circumstances where oxidizing metals have stained concrete.
Rust Stain Remover is composed of reactive agents which specifically dissolve oxidizing metals away from concrete. Its fast-acting performance allows removal of rust stains with minimal effort.
Apply Rust Stain Remover to the stain and rub the area with a stiff fibered brush for 1 to 2 minutes. Rinse the treated area with water immediately after brushing. If the rust stain persists, retreatment can be carried out immediately and repeated until the stain is completely removed.
Do not allow Rust Stain Remover to remain on the surface for more than 1 to 2 minutes as it may cause etching and discoloration.
One gallon of Rust Stain Remover will treat approximately 7-16 m2 (75-175 ft2).
Rust Stain Remover is available in plastic containers.
Health & Safety
Rust Stain Remover is acidic. Proper care should be taken to prevent contact with skin or eyes.
All precautions defined on the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) for Rust Stain Remover must be followed.
General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remove
General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover is a specially formulated cleaning product designed to remove dirt, grime and efflorescence from concrete and concrete products. General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover helps rejuvenate the original surface color intensity and is also used to prepare a surface for sealing. General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover is also available as General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover Concentrate.
General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover dissolves calcium hydroxide, calcium carbonate and other efflorescence causing deposits to form a chemical composition which is soluble in both diluted General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover, and in water. This helps prevent re-depositing of the efflorescence compounds on the surface. In addition, special agents lift and remove dirt and grime for superior overall cleaning.
Note: If using General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover Concentrate, always dilute before application using 1 part concentrate with 4 parts water [i.e., 3.8 L (1 gal) of concentrate will make 19 L (5 gal) of properly diluted product).
Dampen the surface to be treated with water to prevent excessive penetration of the cleaner. Pour General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover or diluted General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover Concentrate onto the surface and distribute it evenly with a chemical resistant brush. Leave the product on the surface for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly and completely with water.
Note: Treat a small test area to determine the proper amount of time to leave General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover on the substrate before rinsing. General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover can etch concrete surfaces if left on a surface too long.
The recommended coverage rate for General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover is 3.5-5.5 m2/L (150-225 ft2/gal).
General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover and General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover Concentrate are available in plastic containers. General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover is also available in plastic containers.
Health & Safety
All precautions defined on the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) for General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover and General Cleaner & Efflorescence Remover Concentrate must be followed.
